Gogoi accuses Meghalaya CM of violating COVID-19 protocols
Former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi has accused Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma and Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sharma for violation of COVID-19 guidelines while visiting Manipur on Sunday.
The veteran Congress leader also said that the incident has only exposed BJP’s anti democratic attitude.
“Gross injustice and violation of quarentine on Covid 19 guidelines by Conrad Sangma chief Minister and Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma Health Minister while visiting Manipur yesterday exposes BJP’s anti democratic attitude,” Gogoi said in his Twitter handle.
The visit by the leader of the two political parties came after 3 BJP MLAs resigned and four NPP MLAs withdrew their support to the N Biren Singh-led BJP government in Manipur and have also pledged their support to the Congress.
Meanwhile, Sangma, also National People’s Party (NPP) national president, got his samples collected for COVID-19 test soon after returning from Manipur.
