Govt approves appointment of chairpersons of Zilla Sanik Welfare Officer, Real Estate Regulatory Authority
The state government has approved the appointment of the chairperson of the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Tura and the chairperson for Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
Addressing pressmen after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, cabinet minister Paul Lyngdoh said, “We agreed to the selection of the chairperson of the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Tura. Col Daryl Hopkins was recommended by the department selection committee for selection as Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer Tura for a period of 5 years. He is currently 52 and we have approved his appointment for a period of 5 years as Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Tura.”
He said the cabinet has also approved the selection of the chairperson for Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
“The crux of this matter is that we now needed a new chairperson to head this regulatory authority. It was proposed that the name of BK Lyngwa, IFS (retd) and former PCCF be considered and his name was approved at today’s meeting of the cabinet,” Lyngdoh said.
