Govt committed to resolve issue of relocation of Sweepers’ Colony: Tynsong

Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong Monday said the government is committed to resolve the long pending issue for relocation of 342 families of Sweepers’ Colony from Them Iew Mawlong at the earliest.
Speaking to reporters, Tynsong said that the government had already communicated to the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC) and the leaders from the Delhi Gurudwara about the next round of meeting on the matter.
“We have already indicated the time but we are yet to receive (any response from their end),” he said. He said, “Once they indicated the time, we will fix accordingly but we really wanted to complete this pending issue at the earliest possible.”
