Govt issues health protocol for saloons, beauty parlours
East Khasi Hills district administration on Monday issued health protocol for re-opening of saloons and beauty parlours.
The order permitting saloons and beauty parlours to operate in the district was issued on July 10.
According to the protocols, only basic services like hair cutting and shaving will be allowed for now.
The procedure must not take more than 15-20 minutes. Longer procedures should be avoided.
It said that the saloons and beauty parlours must not allow those entering without masks or sanitising their hands.
Salons and beauty parlour owners are also asked to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their customers.
Clear signage vaccinated or not vaccinated in respect of all the workers should be clearly indicated in the shop premises.
There should be prominent health advisories in the saloons and beauty parlours in local languages.
