Govt serious about peace parley with HNLC: Tynsong

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said the government is serious about peace dialogues with the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC).
He said the government really wanted to have a dialogue peacefully and initiative has been done and now the process has started.
On the allegation of the opposition, Tynsong said that the government will convene the State Security Commission (SSC) meeting when the need arises.
Law and order issue is being taken care of by the state government…I personally feel as of now you don’t need a SSC to sit. However, until and unless when there is a requirement or a need then the chairman will call the commission, he stated.
