Govt spent over Rs 2500 Cr on PMGSY in Meghalaya
Over Rs 2,500 crore have been spent for implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Meghalaya.
“Implementation of the PMGSY scheme in Meghalaya has already crossed Rs 2,500 crore along with UCs. It means that investment as far as the road sector is concerned through the PMGSY scheme is more than Rs 2500 crore,” Deputy Chief Minister in-charge PWD (Roads) Prestone Tynsong told reporters on Wednesday.
When asked, Tynsong said that the Centre is yet to sanction funds for implementation of the phase-III. “However, the government of India has given us a target to again have a full coverage of 1250 kms. This is again the target where we have to complete it,” he added.
