Govt to examine probe report into alleged killing of ex-HNLC leader: CM

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the state government will examine the report submitted by the One Man Commission of Inquiry into the alleged killing of the former HNLC leader Cherishterfield Thangkhiew on August 13, last year.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “The report is with us and now the political department will be going through it and we will be examining it.”

He also thanked the Chairperson of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) Justice T Vaiphei, who is heading the panel, for managing to complete the exercise and submitted the report to the state government despite his busy schedule.
