Govt to inaugurate Namdong C&RD block, new CHC by Nov: Dhar

The state government will inaugurate the newly created Namdong Community & Rural Development (C&RD) Block as well as to upgrade the Namdong primary health centre (PHC) to a community health centre (CHC) next month.

This was informed by the Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar to a delegation of the Mynsngat Khanduli Development Committee (MKDC) during a meeting held on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, MKDC president Denis Dkhar said, “The minister who is also our Nartiang MLA has assured us that the new C&RD block and the CHC will be inaugurated by November this year.”

In today’s, our MLA who is also the cabinet minister assured us that our demands for creation of Namdong CRD Block and the up-gradation of PHC to CHC has been met by the state government and these two projects will be inaugurated in November this year

Dkhar said that the minister has also informed the delegation that the government has also sanctioned Rs 47 crore for the implementation of JJM scheme for Namdong circle. This will to a great extent benefit the people of the constituency, he added.

“We, therefore, express our gratitude to the MDA government and especially to the local MLA for fulfilling the long pending aspiration of the people of the area,” Dkhar said.
