Govt to set up COVID hospital at Tura: CM
The state government has decided to construct a COVID hospital at Tura in West Garo Hills district.
Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma said that the hospital will be funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC). He has also directed the Public Works Department to prepare the detailed project report and issue the work order by November, this year.
According to him, the project is targeted to be completed within one year.
“Discussed the proposed construction of the #COVID Hospital in Tura funded by @NEC_GoI. 2 acres of land has been identified. PWD is instructed to prepare the DPR & issue the Work Order by Nov 2020. We target to complete it in 1 yr from the date of the work order,” Sangma tweeted.
