Govt to set up over 100 health & wellness centres: Hek
The state government has set up over 100 health and wellness centres in the existing health sub centres across the state.
Informing this here on Friday, Health Minister, AL Hek said the state government has invited tenders for the setting up of 110 health & wellness centres in the sub centres across the state at an estimated cost of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 10 lakh each.
“The objective is to further improve the health delivery system through the existing sub centres,” he said.
The minister further said that so far, around 40 health & wellness centres have been set up in the state.
On the other hand, Hek also informed that the detailed project reports (DPRs) are still being prepared for upgradation of the different Community Health Centre (CHC) and Public Health Centre (PHC).
“The DPRs are for the 40 CHCs and PHCs. The estimated cost will be to the tune of Rs 100 crore,” he said.
