Govt to soon appoint CIC, MSWC chief

The state government will soon announce the names for appointment as the Chief Information Commissioner and Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Women Commission. 

Informing this here on Sunday, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said that the names for both will be announced within few days. 

“For the Chief Information Commissioner in fact we have already taken a final call. I think within a few days we should be able to do it,” he said.

“(Similarly), the file for (appointment of the new chairperson) of the Women Commission is now in my office and I will be looking into that matter,” Sangma added.
