Govt to take action against failure to register at entry point
The state government has warned to take action against those who fail to register at the entry point at Umling in Ri Bhoi district.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that for those coming from outside the state, escaping the entry point is not allowed.
“We have already installed CCTV at the entry point and if we find that vehicles bypassing the entry point immediately action will be taken on the basis of their registration number plates,” Tynsong warned.
He said be it ministers, be it high officials or whoever, all should pass through the entry gate at Umling while entering the state.
“They cannot blindly bypass the entry point…when we say enter through the entry gate mean not necessarily for testing yourselves but we regulate…However, being government officials, it is their duties to test themselves,” he said.
“…we have already asked the officials stationed at the entry point no matter who be it VIP, be it senior officers be it staff all should go through the entry point,” Tynsong added.
