Govt to upgrade existing buildings of DCs and SDOs

The state government has decided to upgrade existing buildings of deputy commissioners and sub-divisional officers.

A new office building for the office of the deputy commissioner, South Garo Hills at the cost of Rs 15 crore has been sanctioned, Governor CH Vijayashankar said in his address in the Assembly on Friday.

The state government has also sanctioned an amount of Rs 4.8 crore for construction of a Sainik Rest House in Shillong for the ex-servicemen, widows and dependents of this state, construction of which is nearing completion.
