Govt yet to decide on demand to enhance honorarium to mid-day meal workers: CM

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday said the government is yet to take any decision on the demand of the midday meal workers for enhancing their monthly honorarium.

Speaking to reporters, Sangma assured that the government will discuss the matter very soon.

The mid day meal workers are staging their ongoing protest over the government’s adamant attitude towards their demand.

Under the banner of the All Meghalaya Mid Day Meal Workers Union, they have been demanding the government to immediately enhance their monthly honorarium from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000.
