Gratuitous Relief for persons who died of COVID-19

In connection with the Gratuitous Relief in the form of one time Ex-Gratia Payment to the next of kin applicable for the persons who died of COVID-19, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that in case the death occurred due to COVID-19 prior to 20.03.2022, the family who wishes to claim compensation are to submit their claims within 60 days from the date of death.

For deaths after 20.03.2022, 90 days time is provided from the date of death. The form may be collected from the office of DDMA/Relief and Rehabilitation Branch, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Shillong or from the office of the Block Development Officer of the respective Blocks.
