GSU election to be held this month

The election of the Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Southern Zone will be held this month, GSU-CEC president, Tengsak G Momin informed on Tuesday.

He said the exact date of the elections to the post of president and general secretary will be declared by the newly appointed GSU Chief Election Commissioner, Rikrak G Momin, Asst Teacher of Baghmara Govt Boys HS School and the outgoing GSU President (Southern Zone), Chuba R Marak as per their convenience.

Momin said the GSU Units of the Southern Zone will be participating in the election process and the election rules and procedures must be strictly adhered to as laid down in the GSU Constitution specially.

The GSU CEC, Tura will be the observer of the election to ensure a free and fair conduct of the election, he said.
