Half and One- A new wave in Meghalaya’s digital media production

With the recent surge in digital content production in the last few years, the quality of content provided by the digital media houses have been declining. However, there are still some digital portals that keep the spirit of journalism alive.‘Half and one’ is a digital media and production start-up that provides a platform for good storytelling, honest journalism, videos and documentaries, podcasts to name a few.

Babatdor Dkhar founded Ka Ktien Media in 2017. He is the Chief Editor of Half and One which is the main platform that offers all kinds of creative publishing pieces.

“Ka Ktien Media has been around for 3 years now, while I have been writing for other publications and working in the field of writing and production for 10 years now.” said Babatdor Dkhar

Since, the face of media has changed over the years and, the development and establishment of the digital media production has also changed. Keeping this in mind, Half and One creates its content in such a way that it speaks the words of its audiences through the content and stories they create in their digital media platform.

For all the comic lovers and people who love to read creative articles, Half and One serves as a great portal where they can take up memberships and browse the various categories available in the portal.

“We’re really glad that we’ve been able to move on to the production and publishing of comic books. We did two comic books, ‘It’s a Kong’s world’ and ‘The adventures of Man’ and it is something that I’m really proud of.” added Babatdor.

When asked about the long-term plans for his company, Babatdor Dkhar mentioned, “We want to build a really strong membership page and we also want to have a bigger chain to reach more audiences. Also, we want to have a nice and independent studio for all the things we are creating.”

To start any kind of media platform, you need to have creativity and understand your audience as well. Only then, you can keep your audiences glued to your content and productions.
