HANM files counter FIR against MPPL

SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has filed a counter FIR against the Marbaniang Project Pvt Ltd (MPPL) for charging excessive fee for using a restroom in the Marba Hub shopping mall at Khyndailad.

In the FIR submitted before the Sadar Police Station, Chairman of the HANM anti influx operation cell Bobby Basaiawmoit has termed the decision of MPPL to charge Rs 30 per head for using the toilet in the shopping complex as ‘unreasonable’.

This came a day after the MPPL had filed an FIR against the HANM for obstructing entry into the restroom on Friday last.

Basaiawmoit said the central body of HANM (anti influx operation cell) had no bad intention or (to) cause any chaos in the complex but only to enquire about on the matter.

According to him, the reason stated by manager of the MPPL (on the amount fixed) was unacceptable and baseless.
