Health drink Bournvita restricted in Amlarem to protect children’s health

Bournvita, a popular health drink, have been restricted for sale in Amlarem due to its high sugar content, posing health risks to children.

The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem Civil Sub Division issued a public notice (No.AMPP.1/PR/2019-III/47) citing regulations from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Government of India, under section (15) of CPCR Act, 2005, prohibiting the sale of Bournvita and similar health drinks in the area to safeguard children’s health.
