HNYM stages protest against unemployment in Shillong

Hynniewtrep National Youth Movement (HNYM) staged a protest in front of the PWD (Road and Building) on Thursday. They plan to march to the Secretariat. Their protest is against unemployment.

The group conducted a demonstration despite the District Commissioner’s (DC) imposition of Section 144 CrPC, which prohibits processions or rallies within a 200-meter radius of the Meghalaya Secretariat Building and Raj Bhavan in Shillong.

Till the filing of this report, the group remains determined and seeks to meet with Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
