Home delivery pass cancelled
The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo, IAS on Wednesday has cancelled all home delivery car pass from Restaurants / Kitchens / Café / Fast Foods
The order was issued in view of the continuous sharp spike in COVID -19 cases in Shillong and East Khasi Hills District in general, in the interest of public safety to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. It is deemed necessary to restrict movement as much as possible within the district during the Total Curfew promulgated with effect from 8:00PM of the 19th May, 2021 till 5:00AM of the 31st May, 2021, it said.
All Car Passes for Home Delivery Services in respect of Restaurants / Kitchens / Café / Fast Foods etc issued earlier stands cancelled w.e..f. 8:00Pm of 19th May, 2021 until further orders.
Other establishments catering to delivery of Food / Rations and other necessities to Hospitals / Corona Care Centres / Quarantine Centres which have already received permission from this Office are exempted from the purview of this order.
Further, Essential Food Commodities including Dry Ration / Meat / Vegetables / Fruits / Toiletries will be regulated and made available in all localities on dates and timings as fixed or through door to door delivery in consultation with the respective Incident Commanders / BDOs by the respective Headman / Local Authority. Permission for home delivery of such items will be granted on specific request and for genuine and only experienced proprietors.
