HSPDP launches its official website
The official website of the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP), which is the oldest regional political party in the state, was launched on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, president of the party KP Pangniang said that the objective of the website is to provide more information to the people of the entire state as well as outside the state who want to know about the HSPDP.
“The website will feed information on party matters which include the Constitution of the party, manifesto and issues raised by it,” he said.
He said the soft copy of the souvenir of the party’s golden jubilee celebration is also made available on the website.
Meanwhile, Pangniang also informed that the essay competition organized by the youth wing of the party has been postponed to May 20 since students are still busy with their ongoing examinations.
He said the topic for the essay is on HSPDP’s demand for creation of a separate Khasi-Jaintia state. Pangniang also requested the participants to read his article on the reason behind the demand for a separate statehood for the Khasi and Jaintia people.
