Hult Prize 2021: Shillong students win the Impact Regional Summit
A four member team hailing from Shillong called Team Aces, comprising of Aushinar Dastidar (Captain), Ananya Bhattacharya, Akangsha Chakravorty and Muskan Singhania, students from the Dept. of Biotechnology, St. Anthony’s College won the Impact Regional Summit of the Hult Prize Challenge 2021. This is the first team ever from North East India to win the Impact Summit.
They will move on to the Accelerator Round to represent India in the Summit to be held in London to compete with teams from across the globe.
A total of 43 teams from all across the country as well as from Bangladesh and Nepal competed in the prestigious Hult Prize Regional Summit 2021 held in Mumbai on 26th March 2021.
The Hult Prize is the world’s biggest engine in collaboration with the United Nations Organization for the launch of “for-good”, “for-profit” Start-Ups for youths emerging from universities in more than 100 countries with volunteers around the world.
It is a $1 million cash prize challenge for leading the youths of today to be a part of a global change.
This year, the 2021 theme is ‘Food for Good- Transforming Food into a Vehicle of Change”.
The Hult Prize Foundation has been featured in a TIME Magazine Cover Story highlighting the “Top 5 Ideas Changing the World” and is also known as the “Nobel Prize for Students”.
