I League: Shillong Lajong faces back to back defeats as Real Kashmir win 3-1
Lajong were beaten 3-1 by Real Kashmir in the I-League match held in Srinagar on Saturday. Real Kashmir made a strong start by taking the lead through their Ghanaian midfielder Kamal Issah in the 5th minute. Lajong made a quick response by equalising in the 16th minute through Karim Samb which is also his second goal of the season.
It was all even with a 1-1 scoreline going into the half-time whistle.
Going into the second half, Real Kashmir took the lead once again through their striker Gnohere Krizo in the 55th minute before their midfielder Mohammad Inam wrapped up the three points with a 69th minute strike.
With this loss, Lajong are currently in the fifth spot with 16 points from ten matches. In their next encounter on December 23, Shillong Lajong will return to play at their home ground in the SSA Stadium, Shillong to face Namdhari FC.
