I Love You’s accomplice handed over to police unharmed by law abiding citizens

After more than twelve hours of the lynching of the four dreaded criminals, Ramesh Dkhar, the fifth criminal who escaped from the District Jail, Jowai was apprehended by a group of law abiding citizens and handed over to Meghalaya Police unharmed by them while Rikmenlang Lamare the sixth criminal is still at large.

The high drama jail took place on Saturday afternoon, a gang of four under trial prisoners for murder namely I Love You Talang, Lodestar Tang, Ramesh Dkhar and Shidorki Dkhar and a murder convicted prisoner Marsanki Tariang along with person named as Rikmienlang Lamare escaped from District Jail Jowai after they assaulted the jail staff and also stabbed one police man on duty in the main gate to made their escape a success.

However, the jail break turned unexpected turn on Sunday evening, I Love You Talang, Marsanki Tariang, Lodestar Tang, Ramesh Dkhar and Shidorki Dkhar were noticed at an area known as Forest along the boundary of Thadmuthlong and Shangpung came to the notice of the local people after Ramesh bought foods from a local shop in the area. I Love You Talang, Marsanki Tariang, Lodestar Tang, and Shidorki Dkhar were lynched by the furious mobs from Shangpung, Thadmuthlong and adjoining areas while Dkhar managed to escaped from the scene.

Dkhar was apprehended by the local citizens at Thadmuthlong-C under Phramer Traffic Cell, Jowai PS on Monday morning and subsequently handed over to police and unlike his four accomplice, he was unharmed and escaped from lynching as he managed the furious mobs on Sunday evening.

Police said that Dkhar was taken to NEIGRIHMS for medical examination and he will been put up in District Jail, Shillong for the time being.
