Ichamati murder case: 2 KSU activists arrested from Sohra

Two members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) were arrested from Sohra on Monday night for their alleged involvement in the recent murder of two labourers at Ichamati in East Khasi Hills.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Rituraj Ravi said, “Two arrests were made from Sohra last night. However, details we will not be sharing at the moment in the interest of the case.”
The arrested KSU members have been identified as Shambor Shati (26) and Meshadap Sohpen.
On March 27, (L) Esan Singh and (L) Sujit Dutta were allegedly beaten to death by miscreants at Ichamati. Both are labourers working in limestone quarries.
