IFS officer commit suicide by hanging in Shillong

A Chief Conservator of Forests committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Shillong on Wednesday.

(L) N Luikham, an Indian Forest Service officer of 2003 batch committed suicide at around 7.30 am at his residence located near Lady Keane College, East Khasi Hills SP Rituraj Ravi informed.

He was posted as Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Meghalaya.

Post Mortem examination is under way at the Shillong Civil Hospital, the SP said.
