IGGL team calls on Mizo CM, apprises him of NEGG project
A team of Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd (IGGL) led by CEO Dr Ajit Kumar Thakur and COO Pankaj Patowary called on Mizoram chief minister Pu Lalduhoma to apprise him about the current construction status of the ongoing 127 km-long Panisagar – Aizawl natural gas pipeline being implemented by IGGL as a part of the North East Gas Grid Project (NEGGP).
The chief minister assured all his support for the timely completion of the Panisagar – Aizawl section of the gas pipeline project which will open up tremendous opportunities for accelerated industrial growth in the state.
IGGL, a joint venture of five major petroleum PSUs viz. IOCL, ONGCL, GAIL, OIL & NRL is implementing the North East Gas Grid Project (NEGGP) connecting the state capitals, major cities and the demand centres of the eight northeastern states at an estimated cost of Rs 9,265 crore.
The North East Gas Grid will be connected to the national gas grid to ensure supply of natural gas to all the northeastern states. As on date the project has achieved a physical progress of 81%.
