IIM Shillong engages young minds at NERIE learning festival

The North East Centre for Community Impact and Engagement (NE-CCIE), IIM Shillong’s social outreach wing, partnered with the Nurturing Minds student association to play a key role in A Festival in Nurturing Young Minds for the 21st Century Learning Skills on March 6.
The event, organized by the North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), a unit of NCERT, brought together students from across the region to equip them with critical thinking, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills.
NE-CCIE facilitated IIM Shillong’s participation, with the Nurturing Minds team leading interactive sessions. In the STEM & Innovation Zone, students took part in an Entrepreneurship Challenge, a Design Thinking Workshop, and a Business Pitch Competition, gaining hands-on experience in problem-solving and innovation.
Beyond structured sessions, students engaged in team-building activities like Project Runway: Build a Cause Campaign and the Human Knot Race, promoting leadership and strategic thinking. The event saw enthusiastic participation, reinforcing IIM Shillong’s commitment to fostering young talent and encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset.
