Illegal collection of entry fees/parking fees in Shillong Peak during New Year Day prohibited

The District Magistrate East Khasi Hills District has promulgated Section 163 BNSS prohibited illegal collection of Fees (Entry/Parking) from the general public in Lum Shyllong (Shillong Peak) during New Year Day Celebration.

According to the order, illegal gambling and other illegal activities at Lum Shyllong (Shillong Peak) on New Year Celebration day is also prohibited.

The District Magistrate informed that the order was imposed as there were reports of illegal gambling, illegal collection of entry fees and parking fees and other illegal activities going on at Lum Shyllong (Shillong Peak) every year on New Year Celebration day.
