Implementation of QR code based tracking system to start soon: Shylla

Excise Minister Kyrmen Shylla on Wednesday informed work for implementation of the QR code based tracking system for different products sold by the department have already been allotted.

Speaking to reporters, Shylla said that the tendering process has been completed and work has already been allotted to the successful bidder.

“We are now waiting when we can implement it. They say that within a matter of a few months, we can start the tracking system of bottling,” he added.

The state government had stated that introduction of the QR code based tracking system for different products sold by the excise department will help plug the leakages and increase the revenue generation by 5 to 10 percent.
