Indian team shines in the 3rd Asian Roll Ball Championship in Belgaum
SHILLONG: The Indian teams both boys and girls won the final of the 3rd Asian Roll Ball Championship which was held at Belgaum, Karnataka.
This Championship was organized for the first time in India by the Asian Roll Ball Federation in collaboration with the Roll Ball Federation of India and Karnataka Roll Ball Association from February 21 to February 24.
The final was held on the 24th Feb 2019 at Shivaganga Roller Skating Club. In the boy’s category, India team won 10-5 against Bangladesh and in the girls’ category, India team won 4-3 which was a tough win. The Indian teams were adjudged the winner of this competition while Bangladesh teams were the first runner – up and Nepal bagged the second Runner-up.
On this day, the son of the soil Suklang Dkhar Technical Official of Roll Ball Federation of India and General Secretary of Meghalaya Roll Ball Association was being felicitated by Mr. Suresh Angadi MP Belgaum and Mrs. Joti Chandik, President of Karnataka Roll Ball Association for being selected as an official of the 3rd Asian Roll Ball Championship.
About 10 countries came to participate in this competition which are Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Yemen, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Oman, Cambodia and UAE.
