Indiscriminate dumping of garbage in Rivers of East Jaintia Hills prohibited

District Magistrate East Jaintia Hills District on Wednesday promuglated Section 144 CrPC prohibiting indiscriminate dumping of garbage in the drains, rivulets and rivers.

It also banned any attempts to cause any sort of activities that may have adverse impact on the ecosystem and human survival.

The order was issued keeping in view for protection of’ the environment and the prevention of indiscriminate dumping of garbage in the drains, rivulets and rivers that will have a deleterious impact on the environment and the water bodies within this District.
