Ingty appointed as Director of Inquiry & Prosecution of Meghalaya Lokayukta

The Chairman of the Meghalaya Lokayukta has re-constituted the Inquiry wing as per provision of Meghalaya Lokayukta Act, 2014 with I.W Ingty, IAS as the new Director of Inquiry.

Ingty is also appointed the new Director of Prosecution, Meghalaya Lokayukta.

The previous Director of Inquiry and Director of Prosecution, Meghalaya Lokayukta J. Rymmai, IPS (Retd.) was appointed in October, 2022 but was relieved from his posts in December, last year.

The other members of the Inquiry Wing are Challang G. Momin, MPS, John Clitzer A Sangma, MPS and Baniateilang Deingngan, MPS.

Notably, the Inquiry Wing shall be responsible for conducting preliminary inquiry detailed investigation into any offence alleged to have been committed by a public servant, punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
