Invitations to empanel for Artists, cultural institutions & cultural organisations

The Directorate of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya, is creating a database of all information on the artists, cultural institutions, and cultural organisations of the state of Meghalaya and is conducting a registration drive, inviting all artists, culture institutions, and cultural organisations of the state of Meghalaya to empanel with the Directorate.

This was informed by District Planning Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.

The applicant may submit the forms in hard copy, along with any other supporting materials specified in the guidelines, to the District Librarian, Department of Arts & Culture, or to the Directorate of Arts & Culture.

Applicant should be a citizen of India the form shall be submitted along with documents that includes Letter of reference from either the Gaon bora/ Panchayat/ Autonomous Council/ Art personality/ District Administration/ State Government. Detailed Bio- Data mentioning experience and accomplishments, including educational background to be enclosed. Applicant should also submit an attested copy of Bank account details/ Ration card/ PAN card/ Voter’s ID or Passport as proof of residence of the applicant. VCD/ DVD/CD/ Photograph must be furnish along with application form and recording should be of a reasonable duration (minimum 20 minutes) to facilitate assessment and must have the details of number of accomplishment and date of recording.

Further, if the applicant is a company/organization, a copy of the Certificate of incorporation along with a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association should be submitted with the application. For publication/ production, all copyrights, whether vested, contingent or future, including publication/ broadcasting rights and new media rights, if any, of a project commissioned by the Department and produced by the producer shall vest with the Department in perpetuity. Producer shall indemnify the Department against all claims, demands actions, costs, etc. in connection with the project in question. Registration fee of Rs. 100/- by Bank Draft to be made in favour of Director, Arts and Culture.

Empanelment does not amount to a commitment on the part of Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya to sponsor him/her otherwise.
