JCCRP forms core committee on Job Reservation Policy
The Jaintia Coordination Committee on Reservation Policy (JCCRP) has formed a core committee to discuss the Job Reservation Policy.
The decision was taken on September 9 during a meeting named “ka Dorbar Ki Khon Ka Ri Jaintia,” held at the Ladthadlaboh indoor hall.
Prof. PM Passah, Advocate Erwin Sutnga, former president of JSU Garlan Rymbai, and D Pde, a representative from Synjuk ki Waheh Chnong Jowai, attended the meeting, along with leaders and members of JSU, JYF, JNC and others.
JCCRP Chairman Jersom Shylla informed that the members present at the meeting expressed concern over the recently constituted Expert Committee on the State’s Job Reservation Policy, which is set to review the policy within one year. They found this surprising and emphasized the need for the committee’s report to be released promptly, without unnecessary delays from the government.
Jersom, who is also the president of JSU, stated that the core committee was formed to include intellectuals to discuss and provide suggestions to the government on the reservation policy.
