Jennifer elected as new president of Rotaract Club, Shillong

The second installation ceremony of the Rotaract Club of Pine City Shillong was held on August 8.

Rtr Jennifer Suchiang was installed as the president and Rtr Rijohnstar Kharbhoi as the secretary. Around 27 members were also felicitated consisting of the Board of Directors, the Advisor to the club and the new members.

Rotaract Club of Pine City Shillong aims at understanding and practising the idea that only acceptance will allow talented, thoughtful and compassionate young people to promote peace, diversity, humanity, growth and development in the society through the Rotary Rotaract Service.

Past District Governor of ROD 3240 Rotarian Dr. Debashish Das attended the installation ceremony held via video conferencing as chief guest in presence of Rotary President Rotarian Arandati Paul and Rtr Tushar Jalan as the guest of honor.

The dignitaries gave a short and brief introduction on the importance of a rotaractor. They emphasized on the idea that Rotaract focuses on creating true identities where it can only be achieved when ” we ignite the fire within us and ultimately test us how we can be useful to others through our small acts and contributions.”
