JNV Mukhla the only school in West Jaintia Hills selected for NEP
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mukhla, West Jaintia Hills District is the only school from the district amongst the 22 schools in the State selected for the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) for West Jaintia Hills.
N Kumar the Principal of JNV informed JNV has been chosen under the PM-SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India) initiative.
He also said the scheme aims to revamp 14,500 existing schools to align with the key principles of the new NEP, which was introduced in 2020.
Kumar emphasized that the Chairman of the School, who also serves as the Deputy Commissioner of WJHD, is working closely with the DSEO Education Department to raise awareness about the NEP.
Kumar highlighted the transformative nature of the NEP, which seeks to modernize our education system, incorporate technology, and prioritize practical skills-based learning. He expressed his belief that this initiative provides a platform for experts from schools, higher educational institutions, and skilling institutions to come together and discuss strategies, success stories, and best practices for implementing the NEP 2020 in the district.
The District Administration and Education Department will provide support for the implementation of the NEP in the Amlarem, Thadlaskein, and Laskein blocks of West Jaintia Hills District.
