Jowai joined hand to celebrate Teachers Day
Along with the rest of the country, the 61st Teacher’s Day celebration was held at Tpeppale Auditorium, Jowai on Monday.
Speaking as chief guest, Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla appreciated the selfless contribution and dedication of the teachers towards the overall development of the students and society.
He congratulated the District teacher’s awardees for their service and requested the teachers to continue serving the society through their selfless service.
Other who spoke included Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Danida Dehlia Syngai, District School Education Officer AP Syiem and others.
This year District Awardees were conferred to Hubert Thyrniang, MSc (Physic) Assistant Teacher Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Jowai, Fabriously Suchiang BA, Trained Headmaster Shangpung Govt. UP School and Beyon Lanong MA (Pol) Head Teacher Sohkha Shnong Govt LP School.
