Jowai prepares for earthquake and landslide mock drill

The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), West Jaintia Hills along with other districts of the state through a State Level Mock exercise organized by Meghalaya State Disaster Management and National Disaster Management Authority will be conducting mock drill on earthquake and landslide scenario on October 12 at 9.00 AM.

Identified locations for the affected sites Fire incident area Bharat Pump New Hill, Hospital -Lumkyrwiang Urban Primary Health Centre, Landslide area Gate Laban, Shopping Complex – Iaphi Shopping Complex, Iawmusiang Jowai near Meghalaya Studio.

Medical camps, staging area, relief camp, incident command post, base camps will be set up at Presbyterian School Mission compound playground.
