The letter highlighted the problems faced by people due to the poor road condition and Non- Functional of all the Intersect street lights along the National Highway – 6 of East Jaintia Hills District.
The roads conditions are in pathetically stage with many open and countless potholes along the stretch of the National Highway in Jaintia Hills region causing big problem and inconvenience to the people and thereby posing a serious threat to major accidents with increasing numbers of potholes day by day.
They also deplored over the Non- Functional of all the Intersect street lights along the NH-6, the street light has been only a mere piece of rod standing along the highway with no use to the motorist and commuters. They urged the NHAI to repair the non functional intersect street lights at the earliest.
