Justice S Vaidyanathan sworn in as Meghalaya Chief Justice
Justice S Vaidyanathan on Sunday sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
Governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath of office to the new chief Justice at the swearing in ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan.
Justice S Vaidyanathan, B.A., B.L., was born on 17th August, 1962 at Coimbatore. He did his schooling in Singaram Pillai High School Villivakkam, Chennai and graduation in B.A. (Economics) at D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam during 1979-82. He did B.L. in Madras Law College (now known as Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College) during 1982-85 and Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Management, Labour Welfare and Industrial Relations in 1986.
He enrolled as an Advocate on 27th August 1986. He practiced in the High Court of Judicature at Madras. He was elevated on 25.10.2013 as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras and became a permanent Judge of this Court on 14.04.2015.
