JYF calls for fully operational of Eri Centre

Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) on Monday has asked the District Sericulture and Weaving Officer, West Jaintia Hills District to fully operational the Eri Concentration Centre in Saipung village.

In the letter, the JYF general secretary Ramsiama Nampui said due non operational of the centre since its inception the aspirations of the general public has not been met.

“It is very unfortunate that the centre was not functioning well from the time of its inception inspite of the fact that a large number of the general public in Saipung Area have availed so many Sericulture schemes, hence the successful implementation of the schemes has a negative impact to a considerable extent,” Nampui said.

He also request the department to appoint staff who would run the office so that the general public may be able to avail of its service in time of need.
