Kerala Blaster took 3 state footballers on loan
SHILLONG: Samuel J. Lyngdoh Kynshi, Kenstar Kharshong and Naorem Mahesh Singh have been loaned out to Kerala Blasters FC for their reserve team second division I-League campaign 2020.
Samuel Lyngdoh who plays in the midfield had a terrific season with Shillong Lajong in 2019 winning the Shillong Premier League and Meghalaya State League 2019. He scored 9 goals in total – SPL & MSL combined.
The 19-year-old from Meghalaya joined Shillong Lajong Academy in 2015 and won several junior tournaments including the U-18 I-League in 2017. At senior level; he made his I-League debut with Lajong on the 27th November 2017 and scored his first I-League goal on 2nd December 2017 against Churchill Brothers thereby becoming the youngest player from Meghalaya to score an I-League goal at the age of 17. In all, he has scored a total of 5 I-League goals.
Kenstar Kharshong who captained the Lajong side in the Shillong Premier League and Meghalaya State League 2019 played a crucial role in helping the team lift the championships. He was awarded as the best defender of Shillong Premier League. He also netted 7 goals – SPL & MSL combined. The 20-year-old Centre Back also from Meghalaya joined Shillong Lajong Academy in 2013 and won many tournaments at the Junior Level and was part of the U-18 I-League winning team. At senior level; he made his I-League debut on 5th January 2018 against Chennai City FC.
Naorem Mahesh Singh joined Shillong Lajong junior team in 2017 and has played an integral part ever since. The left-footer from Manipur had a great season in 2019 with Shillong Lajong, winning SPL & MSL. He scored a total of 12 goals – SPL and MSL combined and he also assisted the highest number of goals with 14 assists.
The 20-year-old winger made his I-League debut on 28th October 2018 against Aizawl FC and scored his first I-League goal on his debut and went on to score two more goals against Minerva Punjab and Churchill Brothers.
The trio have been in good form this season and the club wishes them the best of luck for the remainder of the season with ISL outfit Kerala Blasters.
