KHADC to take action against illegal street vendors
SHILLONG: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has decided to take action against non-tribal street vendors who are illegally operating without obtaining trading license from the Council.

He said the KHAD (Trading by Non-Tribals) Regulation Act, 1954 has empowered the executive member, officers of the trade and council to impose fine against illegal street vendors ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 3000.
