Khyllep to head law dept for 6 months

The state Cabinet has approved appointment of retired IAS officer W Khyllep as Commissioner & Secretary in-charge Law department on contractual basis.

Informing this after the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that Khyllep will be heading the department of law for a period six months.

He said the post has been lying vacant for the past 3-4 months, following the retirement of S Kharlyngdoh.

“Since no one else is there to head the department, the state government felt the need to appoint a retired and experienced officer and accordingly approved the name of Khyllep for appointment on contractual basis,” Tynsong added.
