Koran convicted for five years

The District Session Court West Jaintia Hills, Jowai on Tuesday convicted one person for criminal trespass and damages of private properties to five years.

According to police, on 12.02.2020 an FIR was lodged at Jowai PS against Koran Kharmawlong for forcefully breaking inside the house of the one person and destroyed the materials inside the house of the complainant and thereafter fled away.

A case was registered vide Jowai PS Case No. 23(2)2020 u/s 447/427/436 IPC.

The case was endorsed to Sl MT Susngi who after investigation Charge sheeted the case under the above sections of law.

On Tuesday, the District Session Court West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, found Koran Kharmawlong guilty and convicted him U/S 447/427/436 IPC for 5 (five) years and 2 (two) months in addition to 1 (one) year and 10 (ten) months that he already served in Prison.
