KSP president officially invited for District Level Committee meeting on Mawjymbuin Cave

The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District has invited Ranjan Borah the President of Kutumba Kurakshya Parishad or the KSP to the District Level Committee to Oversee the Maintenance, Management and Other Matters related to the Krem Mawjymbuin Cave, Mawsynram on 3rd January next at 11:00 AM in her office for discussing on the issue of the proposed Yatra at Mawjymbuin, Mawsynram Cave, East Khasi Hills District.

The KSP has issued an ultimatum to the Meghalaya Government to allow the resumption of religious rites in Mawjymbuin Cave failing which they will obstruct vehicular movement to Meghalaya at Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi District from the 24th of this month.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the SP, East Khasi Hills, the Chief Engineer, Meghalaya PWD (R), the ADC i/c Municipal Branch, the Divisional Forest Officer SF Division, the Member Secretary, Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, the BDO Mawsynram C&RD Block, the Tourism Officer, East Khasi Hills, the Rangbah Shnong Mawsynram and the General Secretary Central Puja Committee, Shillong to attend the said meeting.
