KSU apprehends 8 illegal migrant workers
The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has apprehended and pushed back eight illegal migrant labourers from Bihar.
A statement issued on Saturday informed that migrant labourers were found working illegally in Nongkyndang village during an inspection conducted by the members of the KSU Umsohpieng Unit in collaboration with the village dorbar.
On failing to produce important documents like labour license and work permit, all the illegal migrant workers were asked to go back to their place of origin, it said.
