KSU ask educational institutions to remain close on Dec 10
SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’Union (KSU) will hold it’s central executive committee meeting on Monday to discuss on the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019 and other issues concerning the state.
This was informed by KSU general secretary Donald V Thabah here on Sunday.
The meeting will also be held one day ahead of the anti-CAB protest called by the North East Students Organization (NESO), which the KSU is one of its constituents.
The education cell of the union has also appealed for closing down of all educational institutions on December 10, as a mark of protest against the CAB.
“We request the authorities of the different educational institutions to postpone holding of examinations and declaration of results on the said date,” education secretary Readyon Stone Nongrum said in a statement.
